Plays Once a month. Incentivized Review. We encountered two women at Starbucks working one older one younger that were quite rude and grumpy and the valet was as well. Frankly we expected better of the Westin. We've stayed here before and felt there were some issues we weren't happy about but nothing like this time.
The hotel really need some serous attention to put things right. Our room was in pretty good shape but the bathroom ceiling clearly had water damage from the room above and there were other things that were not as nice as our last visit.
Beyond our room the building itself looked like it needed a lot of patching up and repair. The main focus of our visit was to enjoy a relaxing day in the pool area but that has really fallen on hard times. All three of the hot tubs that we found were warm at best and one didn't have the jets working.
The surface area around the pools seemed to be crumbling off so that any walking barefoot was very unpleasant. The pools we tried felt too cold and nobody else were staying in them for more than a moment, unlike what you would expect. We heard a number of people complaining about the conditions of the facility. This is a big, impressive resort that looks like it has fallen on hard times and you wonder if it is going to come back or not.
In the future we will remember that we have been much happier at other places in the area. Beautiful property. Lots of stairs and few ramps. I have mobility issues, and had difficulty navigating. The drivers took us where we needed to go in golf carts. Master suite was dated, furniture scratched, refrigerator never got cold..
Restaurant food was stellar. Excellent staff. Pool areas were gorge6, altho lots of loose pavers made it a trip hazard. Excellent staff!
The best was Francisco. He went above and beyond at the pool cabana! Give this guy a raise! We got married in Tucson and did a group booking for all our out of town family at the Westin. From the very beginning of getting a rate and link for our guests, to the actual stay, everything was more than spectacular.
Super good! Fresh sushi!!! Nice employees! Reservation were also really easy to make! Great atmosphere and good food!
I will be back at Firebirds. Our server was superb! So gracious and listened to everything we ordered or needed. Our waiter provided some great lunch recommendations since we were visiting from out of state. Delicious burgers with delightful server. Ate outside and it was on the noisy side, otherwise a wonderful experience. Azul Restaurant and Lounge.
